The VF-FS1 is extremely easy to operate and offers a seamless, one-touch switch between local and remote operation amongst other built-in features that make it ideal for fan and pump applications. The VF-FS1 provides harmonic mitigation with or without using a reactor. Toshiba's unique technology suppresses the harmonic currents that have the greatest affect on power sources.

• High-frequency noise is drastically reduced on models with built-in noise filters. Built-in noise filters are ideal for office, commercial facilities, and factories where special attention for peripheral devices are needed. Compared with existing model, less space and wiring are realized by incorporating filter in the panel. In addition, models with built-in EMC noise filter comply with the European EMC Directive as individual inverter units.

• Built-in Toshiba unique technologies to suppress harmonics, particularly 5th and 7th harmonic current that affect power sources. Power factors have been improved. Harmonics are limited to within the IEC61000-3-12 international standard for Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) without any external reactor.

• Reactor-less harmonic suppression technologies and built-in filter reduce 50% of installation space, time and cost of wiring. Effective utilization of space in control panels is achieved by side by side mounting.

• The expected replacement cycle of main circuit capacitors, capacitors on control board, and cooling fan are monitored. Alarm is raise when the cycle is reached to the expected replacement time.
  　

• Sleep function (Automatic stop function) further reduces the energy consumption by stopping at lower limit setting.
  　

• Low torque detection function can detect a broken belt of AHU or low load to avoid pump troubles.
  　

• PTC thermistor input can protect motor from overheating using the signal from the motor's built-in PTC.

• The VF-FS1 is designed to last and easy to maintain. Main capacitors are designed to last for 15 years. While the inverter unit can be replaced by a detachable terminal block without having to disconnect the attached cables. Replacement of cooling fan is also very simple and easy to access.

• Quickly switch between Local and Remote control by EASY key. By switching from remote to Local (Bumpless Function), the operating frequency and status are shifted to Local mode which becomes easier for operation and adjustment.
